Sound Beginning Curriculum

• Natural, pleasant singing voice
• Ability to sing in tune and sing harmony
• Good sense of rhythm

• Piano skills need to be at this level.

• Understand chord theory
• Take the chord theory test here. (Let's Play Music & Presto applicants must submit.) 
• Need to understand the fundamentals of music theory. 
• Rhythm
• Time signatures
• Key signatures
• Major and minor tonalities
• Classical form
• Musical terms: coda, bridge, staccato, legato, etc. 
• Ability to notate your student's compositions.
